Storage

We deliver your coffee to you in an airtight bag with a one-way valve. The rubber band is to seal it back up once you cut the top off. Oxygen is the enemy of your coffee. Kept in this bag for two weeks, the carbon dioxide let off in the roasting process will bathe the beans and keep them safe from the oxygen. After that, the oxygen gets the upper hand and the beans start to stale.

Store your beans in a cool, dry place in the bag they come in. If you prefer, put them in a mason jar in a cool, dark, dry place.

The freezer isn’t the best place for your bean. Roasted coffee is very good at absorbing odors, and therefore, tastes, so long-term storage is discouraged.  However, if you must store it for a long time, use the freezer. Better yet, just order the amount you drink in a week and always have fresh coffee on hand.
